Houston commute times

Houston traffic has a bad reputation, but if you're coming from California or the Northeast, it's manageable. Heavy traffic is weekday-only — roughly 7–10am and 3–7pm, peaking 4–6pm. Outside those windows the metro moves freely most of the day, unlike cities where it's congested all day long.
